"Once upon a time..." The Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Brothers Grimm is dedicated to Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm and celebrates their work of collecting and re-elaborating popular German and European fairy tales, including some of the most famous such as "Snow White," "Cinderella," and "Sleeping Beauty." The overall silhouette of the writing instrument recalls the shape of an old hiking stick, and the black color evokes the darkness of the forests, a common setting for the Brothers Grimm's folk tales. Furthermore, the wave pattern on the barrel and cap is inspired by Rapunzel's hair and also evokes the shape of roots, referencing the Brothers Grimm's view of their linguistic work as "root-related research." The cap is crowned by the Montblanc emblem in precious resin. When rotated, the platinum-coated clip, inspired by a gnarled piece of wood, surprisingly reveals the silhouette of the Brothers Grimm's profile.
